High achievers at Honiton Community College
Due to Covid-19, the summer’s Year 11 GCSE and Year 13 A-level/BTEC results were based on Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGs). Our staff worked incredibly hard to submit accurate grades, and we are very proud both of them and of our students, all of whom were all able to move onto their chosen next steps. In addition, the analysis shows that we were in line with national results.
At GCSE 78.79% of the cohort achieved a standard pass (grades 9 to 4) in English and 74.24% of the cohort achieved a standard pass in Mathematics. We are extremely proud of the whole year group whose Progress 8 score was +0.22.
Post-16 student results have been good again this year. Building on their GCSE results, they have produced excellent value added (progress) at Post-16 with 70% of the cohort achieving a Grade C and above. The average score for our vocational subjects was distinction minus.
